Introduced and supported Bill 84, for a new General and Community Plan Process
Creating a more comprehensive, timely and accountable county planning process

Introduced and supported legislation to create Maui County’s “Model Energy Code”
Requiring radiant heat barriers in all new construction to reduce energy costs for homeowners and businesses

Created and supported revisions to the Park Assessment requirements
Doubling the size of new park land (or equivalent) that developers are required to provide in new subdivisions

Created the PALS program (Play and Learn Sessions) for our county’s youth
Providing recreational and educational programs for children of working families

Introduced and supported the Charter amendment to establish non-partisan elections for Mayor and County Council
Promoting improved working relationships among local elected officials to better serve the community
